Philippine Technical Divers (PHILTECH) invoked the growth of Technical (TECH) Diving in Asia. In 1994, its founder, Alex A. Santos, embodied in PHILTECH his relentless push to the edge, of diving technology and techniques. Being ahead of its time, PHILTECH pioneered despite industry resistance and skepticism. The result of this persistence is today’s acceptance of TECH diving as the extreme constituent of sport diving.

In 1996, PHILTECH became the first IANTD (International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers) licensee in Asia. By 1997, PHILTECH had established more than 10 IANTD training facilities all over the Philippines, improved diving techniques in the region through high training standards. The strategic placement of these training facilities made available easy access to technical diving logistics in all major diving destinations in the Philippines. It enabled tight networking and continuous sharing of information vital to the growth of Tech diving.

PHILTECH will stop at nothing to explore the boundaries of earth’s waters. Pushing the envelope calls for unwavering dedication to the improvement of diving techniques, equipment, and attitudes.

PHILTECH’s mission is to keep pushing, and to forever share these discoveries with sport, commercial, and technical divers.

Philippine Technical Divers also conducts seminars and forums to share correct and current information in technical diver training and education. These seminars are often free to the general diving public.
