Being the first IANTD licensee in Asia, IANTD Philippines invariably gained the advantage of producing some of the most experienced IANTD Instructors and ITs in the region. While IANTD excels in teaching equivalent inter-agency sport diver curriculums, we still dominate the market in nitrox and technical diving certifications due to our superior and vigorous training standards. Many divers and instructors from all over the world come to the Philippines to be trained with IANTD. Being an IANTD Instructor in the Philippines is a rewarding endeavor. HOW TO BECOME AN IANTD INSTRUCTOR
Method 1 - For Current Instructors with Other Training Agencies
The easiest way to IANTD Instructorship is through IANTD's Instructor-Crossover Course. This course is designed for current Instructors of other internationally recognized agencies such as PADI, NAUI, SSI, CMAS etc. Instructors wishing to cross-over to IANTD need to take a two day comprehensive crossover course wherein your current academics and waterskills will be aligned and updated to IANTD standards. Instructor candidates will be taught and evaluated in IANTD teaching methods. Graduates of the IANTD Crossover course will be able to teach their current sport diver course authorizations at equivalent IANTD curriculums, including the IANTD Deep Diver course.

Method 2 - For All Qualified Divemasters and Assistant Instructors
All qualified Divemasters and Assistant Instructors from other agencies including IANTD may enroll in the IANTD Openwater Instructor Development Course. This is a 7 day course designed to train instructor-candidates in the methods and skills of teaching IANTD Openwater divers. Graduates of this course will also be qualified to teach IANTD Advanced Openwater, Deep Diver, Rescue, IANTD/DAN Oxygen Provider and First-Aid.

Note: Active Status IANTD Instructors that hold certifications in Nitrox and Advanced Nitrox may be authorized to teach these courses. IANTD PHILIPPINES INSTRUCTOR MEMBERSHIP PROCEDURES
For ACTIVE status IANTD Philippines Instructors:
  1. Request for membership renewal forms via email.
  2. Return accomplished membership renewal forms via fax, email or post.
  3. Pay US$ 85.00 annual membership fee (contact IANTD Philippines for payment options.

For INACTIVE status IANTD Philippines Instructors:

  1. Request for membership renewal forms via email.
  2. Return accomplished membership renewal forms via fax, email or post.
  3. Pay US$ 85.00 annual membership fee (contact IANTD Philippines for payment options.
  4. Assist in one or more IANTD programs (case to case basis). Please contact any active status IANTD IT, or contact IANTD Philippines.
IANTD Instructors who reside outside the Philippines may also apply for membership with IANTD Philippines and receive the same benefits as an IANTD Philippines Instructor member. Simply send us an email and we will work out the procedures with you.
