IANTD Philippines was the first IANTD licensee in Asia. In short, we initiated and spread nitrox and technical diving in the region. Many pioneer IANTD instructor-trainers in Asia were trained with the help of IANTD Philippines.

With a wide variety of challenging environments such as caves, wrecks, deep water, and almost any diving condition imaginable (except cold water diving), we have managed to produce many of the leading technical diving instructors in the world.

John Bennett is one of them. He holds the current world record for the deepest open-ocean dive of 308 meters. His personal training and exploits have brought new academics to deep mixed-gas diving. Such information, IANTD Philippines values and utilizes as part of its vigorous approach to instruction.
We believe that training, and the study of it, is forever dynamic. That's why we don't subscribe to the saying that "there is only one way of doing things". New sciences and discoveries are often synonymous to a change in diving behavior. This mentality has been the hallmark of IANTD, and is reflected in its continually updated diving standards.

IANTD Philippines continues to help raise the level of diving in Asia. With the aid of electronic communication, we engage in the free exchange of information among our instructor-membership with one goal in mind - to improve diving. And we begin this process by employing our improved teaching methods from the entry-level Open Water diver course.
